SEFFNER - Josh Grady made his Armwood debut Friday, and from the looks of his performance in a 32-3 spring jamboree romp vs. Durant, the Hawks have their QB for the next two years.

Grady, a rising junior who transferred this year from Freedom, scampered 33 yards for one score, hooked up with receiver A.J. King for a 50-yard TD and set up another TD on a 56-yard strike to King.

"The great thing is he Grady is a better person than he is a quarterback," said Hawks coach Sean Callahan.

Callahan also had high praise for rising sophomore tailback Matt Jones, who closed out the two quarters with a 65-yard touchdown run. Callahan said Jones has the potential to be "the greatest player ever at Armwood."

In the opening half, Newsome's Joe Worth went horizontal in the end zone to haul in a 15-yard touchdown pass from Matt Klenke to give the Wolves a 14-7 win vs. Plant City. Raiders QB Bennie Coney's had a 3-yard TD run, and Newsome's Conner Power's had a 1-yard score.
