Now there's proof Florida drivers are among the nation's dumbest.
Ninth dumbest, to be precise. So says a recent online GMAC Insurance poll of 5,000 adults from all states and Washington, D.C.
The respondents tackled 20 common questions in drivers' ed exams.
And wouldn't you know it, we ranked behind Alabama and Mississippi but apparently, somehow, fired up enough dormant neurons to pull ahead of allegedly brainy Massachusetts?
We also beat back challenges from the great states of New Joisey and New Yawk, the nation's all-around dumb-dumb leaders.
Truth be told, we Floridians hardly have bragging rights. Although the Northeast posted the lowest score collectively, a 74.5 percent average, Florida averaged less at 74.1 percent (70 percent or higher is required to pass the test) and 28.1 percent of Florida respondents failed the exam.
