LUTZ - All lanes are open for this morning's rush hour on North Dale Mabry Highway after downed power lines shut down much of the road since Sunday.
Power was restored and all lanes reopened between Van Dyke and Lutz-Lake Fern roads by 6:30 a.m. today. Southbound lanes were opened by 6 a.m.
Tampa Electric Co. crews worked around the clock to restore power.
About 10 utility trucks and support vehicles were still at the site this morning.
Heavy rain and gusts that forecasters said may have reached 50 mph snapped nine utility poles and damaged six others.
The area has been soaked with rain this month that may have made it easier for gusts to push the poles, according to the National Weather Service.
