Man found after dog attack

BRADENTON - A Manatee County man is hospitalized after being mauled by dogs.

The sheriff's office says Jose Moreno was found covered in blood early Saturday on the side of a roadway in Bradenton. He had been bitten multiple times, including a 3-inch cut on his neck, and was scratched on his arms, chest and legs.

He was hospitalized in critical condition.

Police say the victim indicated at least two dogs attacked him. It's not known where they came from or what provoked the attack.

Manatee County Animal Control is investigating.
