CLEARWATER - Police say they have caught one of the suspects in an attack on three people who had just left an adult dance club this morning.
Officers arrested Jason L. Davis, 29, of 913 LaSalle St., Clearwater.
Davis and a dancer, Amy Koger, 19, got into a dispute at Diamond Dolls, 16361 U.S. 19 N., said Joelle Castelli, a spokeswoman for the city of Clearwater. Afterward, at about 2 a.m., Davis, accompanied by friend Douglas Miller, followed the 1992 Cadillac Koger had left in with two other people, Castelli said.
Miller intentionally rammed the Cadillac and Davis threw a beer bottle at the car, Castelli said. Both vehicles then turned into the parking lot of a church at 601 S. Hercules Ave., and the occupants got out, Castelli said.
Davis slashed two of the Cadillac's tires, Castelli said, and used a box cutter to slash Koger in the forearm; she was later treated at the scene by paramedics.
Davis is also accused of slashing one of the other two people in the Cadillac - Koger's friend, Thomas Young, 24 – in the back with the box cutter, according to Castelli and arrest affidavits. Young was taken to Bayfront Medical Center to be treated.
The other occupant of the Cadillac, a second dancer at Diamond Dolls, was not injured.
Davis is charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count each of criminal mischief and throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle.
Miller has not been captured.
