TECO delays helicopter mapping until Thursday

TAMPA - Don't worry if you see a low-flying helicopter near power lines, poles or towers Thursday.
The helicopters will be collecting topographic data for Tampa Electric Co.
TECO is mapping transmission circuits in rights-of-way from power plants in south Hillsborough County to Lutz, company spokesman Rick Morera said.
The helicopters will fly at altitudes of 500 to 800 feet, weather permitting, Morera said.
The flights were scheduled to begin today but were moved to the next day.
