WESLEY CHAPEL - It's a big weekend for high school seniors in Pasco County.
All 11 public high schools will hold commencement ceremonies Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
More than half the schools will conduct the ceremonies at the University of South Florida' Sun Dome in Tampa, a tradition some of the schools started a few years ago as the number of parents, grandparent and friends who wanted to watch grew too large for their campus facilities.
Two schools, Sunlake High in Land O' Lakes and Wiregrass Ranch High in Wesley Chapel, are the county's newest high schools and are holding their first commencements.
Here's the schedule:
Friday: River Ridge High, 6 p.m., in the school's gymnasium; Gulf High, 7 p.m., at Calvary Worship Center on Trouble Creek Road; Ridgewood High, 7 p.m., in the school's gymnasium; Pasco High, 7:30 p.m., at the school's athletic stadium; Hudson High, 8 p.m., at the school's athletic stadium.
Saturday: Land O' Lakes High, 11 a.m., at the USF Sun Dome; Wesley Chapel High, 3 p.m., at the USF Sun Dome; Mitchell High, 7 p.m., at the USF Sun Dome.
Sunday: Wiregrass Ranch High, noon, at the USF Sun Dome; Zephyrhills High, 3:30 p.m., at the USF Sun Dome; and Sunlake High, 7 p.m., at the USF Sun Dome.
