A 44-year-old Zephyrhills man died Thursday afternoon after a wreck in Pasco County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
At 4:39 p.m., Mark Russell Douglas, 5735 8th St., was southbound on U.S. 301 in a 2003 Ford F-150 pickup when a white van made a right turn into the driveway of an Automax, according to a report. Douglas swerved to avoid a collision and went partially into the center median, causing him to lose control.
The pickup went off the west shoulder, struck a concrete drain culvert and overturned several times. Douglas, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle, the patrol said.
Douglas was declared dead at the scene by Pasco County Fire Rescue.
Further details about the crash were unavailable.
