One of six suspects sought in an anti-child pornography operation has surrendered to Polk County deputies, sheriff's officials said today.
Scott Liberatore turned himself into Polk County Sheriff's Office deputies Thursday, according to a news release. He is charged with 40 counts of possession of child pornography.
Five other suspects remain at large:
Jean-Pierre Johnson is charged with 40 counts of possession of child pornography and 1 count of promotion of child pornography.
David Soli is charged with 40 counts of possession.
Douglas Kulda is charged with 40 counts of possession of child pornography and 1 count of promotion of child pornography.
Clarence Williams is charged with 50 counts of possession of child pornography and 1 count of promotion of child pornography.
Jose Ornelas is charged with 30 counts of possession of child pornography.
The sting operation, dubbed Operation Child Shield, began in January, investigators said. Liberatore's arrest is the 40th the operation has yielded.
