LONDON - Now the tabloids are calling her "Susan Boils Over."
Susan Boyle, the Scottish singing sensation, lost her temper and engaged in a "four-letter rant" with two reporters at her London hotel this week that led to police intervention, prompting Britain and the YouTube-watching world to fret over the pressure being piled on the Scottish songstress as her final test approaches.
The country is buzzing with concern over whether the 48-year-old church volunteer's nerves will rob her of the victory many think she deserves.
"Britain's Got Talent," the venue for Boyle's much-noted success, did nothing to dampen the hysteria before her finale today, with one judge going on national television to say Boyle was so upset by the superheated media coverage she had packed her bags and threatened to quit.
Boyle is expected to win.
In the six weeks since she first sang "I Dreamed a Dream" on the show, which is similar to "American Idol," her performance has been viewed a record 235 million times on YouTube.
Information from The Associated Press was used in this report. Keyword: Susan Boyle, to see video of performance.
