If I had a big house and a large lawn, Tampa's new water rules would allow me to use hundreds of extra gallons of water each week to keep my grass green, plus allow unlimited showers and baths for my family.
I live alone in a townhouse with no lawn, use very little water compared to most and still can't use a few extra gallons of water a week to wash my car in my driveway. Why don't Tampa Bay Water and water managers be fair and charge a higher rate for abusers and allow those of us who consistently use very little water a little leeway? Really, washing a car uses no more water than one bath!
