It's official - the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the only winless team in the NFL.

After the St. Louis Rams got their first victory of the season by beating the Detroit Lions 17-10 and the Tennessee Titans put away the Jacksonville Jaguars 30-13 Sunday, the Bucs became the only league team yet to register a victory in 2009.

The Bucs (0-7) are on their bye week, preparing for Sunday's game at Raymond James Stadium against the Green Bay Packers (4-3), who lost 38-26 to the Minnesota Vikings and former Packer icon Brett Favre Sunday afternoon.

The game with the Packers will be nostalgic because the Bucs will break out their classic Creamsicle uniforms, which they wore from their inception in 1976 through 1996, and because they had a sometimes heated rivalry with Green Bay, their former Central Division foe.

Yet the team is sure to endure jokes about the old uniforms also being reminiscent of their woeful NFL start, which saw them drop their first 26 games, including an 0-14 mark in 1976.

There is good news in being bad: the Bucs are now on track to earn (?) the first pick in next year's NFL Draft. The bad side of that is that there's no consensus player projected to be picked first, and even if there was it would probably be a quarterback.

The Bucs, presumably, would shy away from picking one of those, having already selected Josh Freeman in the first round of the past draft. Bucs coach Raheem Morris famously said the team is "married" to Freeman, who is scheduled to make his first career start Sunday against Green Bay.
