And then there was one.
One winless team remaining in the NFL - the Bucs.
That was assured on Sunday when the league's two other winless teams - the St. Louis Rams and Tennessee Titans - were victorious.
Perhaps it's appropriate that the Bucs (0-7) will stage a Throwback Game - complete with the orange jerseys and winking pirate logo used during the franchise's 0-and-26 infancy and 14 consecutive losing seasons from 1983-96 - in Sunday's meeting against the Green Bay Packers (4-3) at Raymond James Stadium.
The Packers warmed up for the occasion with a 38-26 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, led by Brett Favre, the old Green Bay quarterback.
Meanwhile, the Titans (1-6) ended a season's worth of frustration by smashing the Jacksonville Jaguars 30-13. Also, the Rams (1-7) snapped a 17-game losing streak by defeating the Detroit Lions 17-10. The Bucs' 11-game skid now ranks as the league's longest.
The Rams hadn't won since beating the Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 19, 2008.
"I haven't forgotten how it feels, it's just been a long time," Rams running back Steven Jackson said.
Now the Bucs, coming off their bye week and temporarily clad in orange, are on the clock.
