TAMPA - Berkeley Prep clinched a spot in the playoffs after a convincing victory over district rival Indian Rocks Christian.
Nelson Agholor scored on a 100-yard kickoff return to start the game, giving the Bucs an early lead.
Agholor's outstanding play throughout the game was key for Berkeley's victory. Agholor added another touchdown, this time on a 27-yard pass from Destin Nichols in the second quarter. Agholor finished the game with 224 rushing yards on 14 carries, and caught an interception.
Nichols also starred for Berkeley with three touchdown passes.
Justin Vogel's interception for Berkeley Prep late in the third quarter resulted in a 10-play drive that ended with him kicking a 20-yard field goal through the uprights. Vogel also went 4-for-4 on extra points.
Indian Rock Christian's inability to move the ball on offense kept it off the scoreboard until late in the second quarter. Sean Culkin's touchdown on a 13-yard pass from Blake Farver was the first and the only score for the Eagles.
The victory improved Berkeley to 6-2 and second place in the Class 1A-District 6. Indian Rocks dropped to 6-3.
