TAMPA - A fire at a home caused $60,000 of damage this afternoon, Tampa Fire Rescue said.
Firefighters responded to the home, 3628 E. Mohawk Ave., just after 3 p.m. Firefighters had the fire at the single-family home under control in about 10 minutes, said Capt. Bill Wade, the fire department's spokesman.
No one was injured. The case remains under investigation but arson is not suspected, Wade said.
Homeowner Oceva Wilson, 68, was home at the time of the fire with a few of the children who live at the home when they saw smoke coming from a bedroom. The home is occupied by three adults and four children, Wade said.
