CRYSTAL RIVER - Pasco High's Anthony Plourde won a boys district title and boys teams from Pasco, Anclote and Wesley Chapel qualified for region during the Class 2A-District 3 cross country meet Wednesday at Crystal River High.
The Pasco and Wesley Chapel girls teams also qualified for the regional.
Plourde won the boys race with a time of 16 minutes, 29 seconds, and his team took third. Crystal River's boys won the title with 50 points. Mount Dora was second with 62 and Pasco third with 77.
Anclote's Spencer Guerette was 10th in 18:08. Wesley Chapel's Naphlim Olwe was 22nd in 18:51.
The top six teams and top 15 individuals qualified for the 2A regional Nov. 14 in Titusville.
The Pasco girls (72) finished second to Crystal River (35). Wesley Chapel (141) was sixth.
Pasco's Katlyn Eble took fifth in 21:48 and teammate Hannah Hollander was sixth in 21:52.
Anclote freshman Michaela McCarthy was 15th with a 22:49.
Wesley Chapel's Dana Cannon was 27th in 24:33.
