More travelers plan to fly during December's holidays this year than last, with about the same number flying over Thanksgiving, a TripAdvisor survey of 1,300 people found.
The survey found 35 percent of respondents plan to travel for Thanksgiving, including 37 percent who will fly, down from 38 percent a year ago.
Forty percent plan to travel in December, and 57 percent of them plan to fly, up from 52 percent a year ago.
Additional findings:
•59 percent are rarely or never stressed out by holiday flights.
•57 percent had been delayed at airports in past holidays.
•28 percent expect delays this year.
•81 percent of those planning to fly had already booked Thanksgiving flights.
•47 percent had already booked their December flights .
•33 percent plan to have only carry-on luggage.
•55 percent plan to check one bag.
•12 percent plan to check two bags.
