Secure flying

On a recent trip to the Northwest, our toothpaste, hair products and shaving cream were confiscated. I can understand the rules; however, in the same bag we also had scissors, tweezers and nail clippers that were not confiscated.

In other words, I can burn you with my lighter (which is allowed), stab you and gouge out your eyes, but your hair will look a mess, your teeth will be dirty and you will have a beard. Do you think they are looking for the wrong things?

Insult to readers

I would suggest you keep your business consultant, J. Kelly Lange, in the area where he may have some merit: business.

His "Theater for knuckleheads" published Nov. 5 was an insult to all readers like me who consider themselves to be open-minded conservatives willing to listen to all sides of the debate.

Lange's blather about Fox News just shows his leftist views and inability to accept more rational views. Fox News has exposed more corruption, identified more radicals in our government and provided more valuable information than any other news organization.

The knucklehead is the narrow-minded, leftist fanatic J. Kelly Lange.

Angry driver

Somewhere along the line I must have fallen asleep at the wheel and missed when the United States converted from driving on the right side of the road to the left, such as in Britain and Japan.

Every day while commuting in the Tampa area we are subjected to the multitude of drivers who think the left lane is for slow traffic and the right lane for passing. Let me explain something to you thick-skulled drivers: If you have more than one or two people passing you on the right, understand that you are creating a dangerous situation.

We might have to pass a law in order for these people to obey the standing norm.

Police should have the right to stop anyone who has more than five cars stacked up behind them.
