Police investigate shooting outside duplex

TAMPA - A woman was shot in the leg Saturday while standing in front of house where she was attending a family gathering, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies arrived at the duplex at 2122 131st Ave. around 6:37 p.m. and located a 27-year-old woman who had been hit with a gunshot in the lower right leg, according to deputies. She was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in stable condition.
A preliminary investigation determined that the gunshot may have come from a silver Ford sedan that was seen cruising the area at the time, and someone inside the vehicle may have fired at someone walking near the duplex, deputies said.
There are no suspects in the shooting at this time, and detectives are still at the scene, deputies said.
