Man hospitalized after shooting in Sarasota

Sarasota police are investigating a shooting this morning that left a 20-year-old man wounded in the hand and face.

The shooting happened at 1962 19th St. just before 8:30 a.m., according to the Sarasota Police Department.

Willie Handley was flown to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. His wounds were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
