TAMPA - Nonprofit community radio station WMNF, 88.5 FM, has set Dec. 12 for its annual Holiday Bazaar at the Cuban Club in Ybor City.
The Holiday Bazaar showcases local artists, musicians and free spirits of all ages in support of WMNF, which is celebrating 30 years on the air in the Tampa Bay area.
Donated CDs, books and promotional items will be on sale as well as handcrafted creations from area artists.
There will be storytelling by prominent local personalities and musicians playing at the band shell in the Cuban Club patio. Food will also be available.
Proceeds go to the radio station.
WMNF members are allowed into the venue at 9:30 a.m.
To become a member, go to www.wmnf.org or call Gene Moore at (813) 238-8001.
"The beauty of the bazaar is that not only do you get to support your radio station, but you also get to support local artists," WMNF community outreach coordinator Carrie Core said. "Buying unique, one-of-a-kind items, directly from local artists, is a lot more meaningful than going to the mall."
The Cuban Club is at 2010 Republica de Cuba. Admission is $3.
Reporter Walt Belcher can be reached at (813) 259-7654.
