NEW PORT RICHEY - A Pasco County grand jury has indicted a Spring Hill man accused of killing his estranged wife and her boyfriend.
The panel of 21 met for more than two hours and heard testimony from four investigators today before indicting Michael McAdams on two counts of first-degree murder.
McAdams, 48, of 5442 Glover Drive, has been in the Land O' Lakes Jail since his arrest last month. He will continue to be held without bail and is scheduled to go before a judge at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The case eventually will be assigned to east Pasco and will be heard at the courthouse in Dade City. Prosecutors have not determined whether they will seek the death penalty; McAdams has no prior criminal record.
He is charged in the deaths of his estranged wife, Lynda, and her boyfriend, William "Ryan" Andrews. Authorities said the McAdamses were separated and in the process of getting divorced after more than 20 years of marriage.
Lynda McAdams, 46, and Andrews, 37, of New Port Richey, worked together at Bic Graphics in St. Petersburg.
On Oct. 18, Michael and Lynda McAdams argued at her home on Palomino Lake Drive in Dade City, investigators said. Michael McAdams was going to leave the house but changed his mind and grabbed a gun hidden beneath a metal pot on the front porch.
He went back inside and confronted Andrews, chasing him through the kitchen and shooting him multiple times before shooting his wife, investigators said.
Six days later, McAdams led investigators to woods near Peaceful Avenue and Hurricane Drive in Hernando County and showed them where he buried the bodies, authorities said.
