TALLAHASSEE - This is not the time to play cautiously, and Florida State offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher vows he won't with new starting QB E.J. Manuel.
Manuel likes to work outside the pocket, and he also can run.
Fisher has no plans to tell his new starting quarterback not to run even though his backup, freshman Ryan Decker, last saw action a year ago as the starting quarterback for St. Thomas Aquinas High in a run-oriented offense.
"Play to win," Fisher said. "You've got to do what we've got to do to win football games. If you sit there and walk on eggshells, if you play that way ... you've got to play smart, play intelligently but we're here to win a football game."
