CLEARWATER - Twelve people were arrested Wednesday in a crackdown on prostitution- and drug-related crimes.
Clearwater police conducted a prostitution sting at various locations in what is called the East Gateway area of the city. That area is generally south of Drew Street, north of Court Street, east of Missouri Avenue and west of Highland Avenue.
Charged with misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution were Aimee Koger, Jill Chartrand and Robyn Young.
Charged with felony solicitation of prostitution were Amy Maudsley, Tammy Tompkins and Diana Hutchinson.
Charged with exposure of sexual organs were Paula Price, Toni Vinci, Teresa Budd and Darla Stephens. Vinci and Stephens also were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
One other person was charged with failure to appear on a prostitution warrant, while another was charged with possession of cocaine.
