A Pinellas County Sheriff's Office employee was involved in a two-vehicle crash this afternoon.
No one was seriously injured. One person was taken to a hospital as a precaution, deputies say.
The crash took place at 3:17 p.m. at Ridgemoor and Pine Ridge boulevards in Palm Harbor.
Deputy Terrence F. O'Reilly, who is assigned to the school resource officer unit, was driving a marked 2005 Chevrolet Impala south on Pine Ridge and tried turning left onto Ridgemoor. Nickolaos W. Wehlau, 22, of Temple Terrace, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo east on Ridgemoor and tried turning left.
The Impala's bumper and the Chevrolet's left rear quarter panel collided.
Wehlau's wife, 19-year-old Kristi R. Wehlau, was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
