VALRICO - Quarterback Josh Celerin threw for one touchdown and ran for another as Brandon (3-7) rolled over Bloomingdale (0-10) at Charley Harris Stadium.
The Eagles held Bloomingdale to 8 total yards in the first half (58 overall) and they scored on their first three possessions to take a 21-0 first-quarter lead.
Shawn Council, the first of seven different players to score touchdowns, ran 11 yards to give Brandon the lead just 2:25 into the game. Tyrell Garner ran 17 yards for the next touchdown with 6:17 left in the first. Six plays after recovering an onside kick, Celerin ran 25 yards up the middle on a quarterback draw with 3:14 still remaining in the quarter.
The Eagles added another touchdown in the second quarter when Jack Caldwell ran 12 yards on a fake field-goal attempt.
Eleven different Brandon players had at least one carry and the Eagles finished with 303 yards rushing on 42 carries. Brandon's defense had five sacks and Charles Kee intercepted two passes. Sean Watson returned a fumble for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
