TAMPA - On the back of Brieann Dollard, Sickles earned a big win over Wharton, setting a school record for victories in a season.

Late in the first, Dollard opened the scoring for the Gryphons (8-2) as he broke free for a 36-yard touchdown. Dollard added another two touchdowns in the second half, scoring on runs of 35 and 13 yards. He finished the night with 6 carries for 86 yards.

"It feels good ... I couldn't have done it without the offensive line," Dollard said.

At halftime, Sickles quarterback John Hendrick was taken to the hospital with a dislocated growth plate in his wrist, which will likely be a concern, heading into the Gryphons' playoff game against Armwood next week. Before he left the game, Hendrick ran in the first touchdown of the game and threw for 87 yards.

Sickles receiver Chris Nahat also had a standout game, reeling in a number of highlight-reel grabs that included a 17-yard touchdown pass from Hendrick. The Gryphons receiver finished with seven receptions for 91 yards.

Wharton's sole touchdown came in the final 55 seconds of the game as Shane McEwen raced past Sickles' defense for a 42-yard touchdown.
