Hillsborough County teams that set program records for wins in a season Friday. Freedom won its seventh game, besting the previous school mark of six set in 2005 and 2006, while Sickles won its eighth game, besting the previous record of seven set in 2007.
3
Active coaches in Hillsborough County with 150 career wins. Berkeley Prep's Dominick Ciao joined Armwood's Sean Callahan and Hillsborough's Earl Garcia in that group with the Bucs' victory Friday against Anclote. Ciao, the former longtime Jesuit coach, is now 150-71 in his career.

Consecutive games Plant City sophomore running back Dazmond Patterson has rushed for 100 yards or more. Patterson ran for 101 yards in Friday's win vs. Blake.
10
Consecutive wins by Jesuit vs. archrival Tampa Catholic, the longest win streak in the series between the two private school programs. The Tigers also have won 18 of the past 20 against the Crusaders.
31
Touchdown passes this season for Jefferson junior quarterback Quentin Williams, a county best and the school's single-season record. Williams threw four scoring passes in Friday's win vs. Middleton to top former Dragons standout Stephen Garcia's old school mark of 29 in 2006.
CHICKILLO, ELY SELECTED FOR COMBINE
Alonso defensive lineman Anthony Chickillo and Plant quarterback Phillip Ely have been selected to join an elite group.
The juniors have been chosen to participate in the U.S. Army National Combine, which is part of the weeklong festivities that lead up to the Jan. 9 U.S. Army All-American Bowl Game in San Antonio.
The three-day event, which takes place Jan. 7-9, is modeled after the NFL combine with tests and drills and will feature some of the top underclassmen in the country.
Past combine participants include Miami Dolphins receiver Ted Ginn Jr., Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow and Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford.
SPOTO SET FOR BOWL GAME
Spoto coach Dale Caparaso said Saturday his team will play Longwood Lyman in a postseason bowl game and not Wiregrass Ranch.
Caparaso said the game will be played at 5 p.m. Saturday at Winter Springs.
Durant previously accepted a bowl invite to play Lyman but backed out, Caparaso said.
The FHSAA allows teams that finish with a record at or above .500 to play in a postseason bowl game.
Carrollwood Day will play at Northside Christian in a bowl at 7 p.m. Thursday.
GRYPHONS QB DOUBTFUL FOR PLAYOFF GAME
Sickles starting quarterback John Melvin Hendrick is doubtful for the first-round playoff game against Armwood due to a wrist injury that sent him to the hospital Friday night.
Hendrick left the Gryphons game against Wharton at halftime with what was described as a dislocated growth plate in his non-throwing hand. The junior ran in for a touchdown and threw for 87 yards before the injury occurred.
Sickles coach Pat O'Brien said Hendrick, who has thrown for 888 yards and 10 touchdowns and rushed for five touchdowns this season, will be examined by a doctor Monday to determine the extent of the injury.
