A 17-year-old teen was killed Saturday night when his motorcycle left the road and hit a row of mailboxes in Citrus County.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Cody Corbin of Homosassa was heading west on West Village Drive when his 1986 Honda motorcycle left the pavement. Corbin hit the mailboxes and was thrown from the motorcycle about 10:40 p.m., the highway patrol said.
Corbin was pronounced dead at Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River, the accident report said.
He was not wearing a helmet and investigators have not determined if alcohol played a part.
