A 23-year-old Plant City man died Sunday afternoon when he lost control of his motorcycle, deputies say.

Jayques Andre Wright, was driving a 1993 Suzuki motorcycle on Frank Griffin Road when the crash occurred at 6:35 p.m.

He was speeding, and he lost control after applying his brakes, deputies say. He wasn't wearing a helmet or other safety equipment at the time, deputies say.

He died at South Florida Baptist Hospital.
