TAMPA - A fugitive with local ties who fancies himself a music mogul is wanted by the FBI in connection with an armed bank robbery in Raleigh, N.C., authorities say.
Jonathan Lamar Davis, also known as "Sinatra," is accused of robbing a bank Jan. 14, 2008, hitting a teller over the head with a shotgun and firing the weapon into the ceiling.
Authorities consider him armed and dangerous.
Davis may frequent music establishments and clubs, according to a wanted poster, which describes him as black, 5-foot-10, 180 to 200 pounds, with brown, possibly shaved, hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his hands and arms.
He has known associates in the Tampa Bay area and Central Florida, according to the FBI.
During the bank robbery, authorities say, Davis wore a white toboggan hat, black sunglasses, a black quarter-length coat with fur around the hood, dark pants, yellow gloves and work boots. He carried a black nylon bag or case, as well as a shotgun.
Anyone with information that could lead to Davis' arrest should call the Charlotte, N.C., division of the FBI at (704) 377-9200 or Raleigh police at (919) 996-3335.
