Woman critically injured in Hillsborough shooting

TAMPA - The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate a shooting in the northwestern part of the county that left a 19-year-old woman critically injured.
Essence Jade Jovan Williams, who had been staying at an apartment at 8320 Crystal Harbor Drive, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital after the shooting, which occurred between 3:30 and 4 a.m. today.
Deputies were called to a report of a domestic disturbance in Apartment 202 and found that Williams had been shot.
It remains unclear how the shooting occurred, authorities said.
