JEFFERSON...45 WHARTON...7
TAMPA - On a night where yards were hard to come by at times, Jefferson found little trouble in dominating and defeating Wharton.
Wharton had a tough time moving the ball throughout the game, managing to accumulate just under 150 yards of total offense.
The Dragons' first score came three minutes into the first quarter on a 15-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Quenton Williams to wide receiver Eric Royster.
Later in the quarter, Williams connected with another receiver, Andre Davis, on a 15-yard TD pass.
On Wharton's following possession, QB Tanner Stoker was intercepted by Jefferson's William Watson with 19 seconds remaining in the first quarter.
The second quarter only had one score, which came on a 12-yard run by Jefferson's Ladarius Mou-yea.
The Dragons maintained healthy momentum throughout the course of the game. Jefferson's Williams finished with 223 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions, while rushing for 58 more yards.
