NEW PORT RICHEY - Mitchell scored a touchdown on each of its first three possessions and Ricky Trinidad continued his streak of 100-yard rushing games for the fifth consecutive week as the Mustangs defeated Wesley Chapel.

Mustangs quarterback Matt Michaels' 30-yard touchdown pass to Dylan Buono capped Mitchell's first-quarter scoring.

Trinidad, who rushed for 163 yards, brought the crowd to their feet on the Mustangs' first possession in the second quarter when he ran along the left sideline 70 yards for his second of two touchdowns.

"We had a great week of practice and it clearly showed on the field," Mustangs coach Brian Wechtal said.

Wesley Chapel coach John Castelamare started five sophomores on offense and five sophomores on defense.

"We're young and inexperienced," Castelamare said, "and I knew we had an uphill battle."
