BRANDON - An offensive showcase led by running back Cary White's 200 rushing yards and two touchdowns, paved the way for the Gryphons in a hard-fought road win at Brandon.

White put the Gryphons (4-1) up 36-24 with 3:30 left in the fourth quarter with a 10-yard touchdown run that silenced the crowd. White's big night was complimented by quarterback John Hendick's 154 passing yards and two touchdowns to wideout Chris Nahat. Nahat burned the Brandon defense for touchdowns of 69 and 47 yards.

The first half was a back-and-forth affair. Brandon (1-4) capitalized on a Sickles' fumble of the opening kickoff with a 5-yard touchdown run by Darius Lee. Lee led the Eagles with 119 all-purpose yards along with his score. Brandon took a 24-15 lead with 6:23 left in the second quarter when quarterback Josh Celerin passed for his second touchdown of the night to B.J. Dawkins for 30 yards.

The Gryphons rallied, and narrowed Brandon's lead to 24-22 with Hendrick's second touchdown pass to Nahat with 2:30 left in the second quarter. Brieann Dollard then gave the Gryphons a 29-24 lead in the third quarter on a 9-yard run.
