A family spokesman reported Saturday that Alexander "Avi" Davidson, the Tampa teenager electrified Thursday when he climbed a power pole to photograph the sunset, remains unconscious and is undergoing tests at Tampa General Hospital.
The spokesman said doctors at TGH have lowered 16-year-old Davidson's pain medication so they can gauge the extent of neurological damage he may have suffered when he was shocked.
Davidson's family remains at the hospital, the spokesman said.
The teenager was burned over 50 percent of his body and paralyzed in both legs after coming too close to power lines. Family members said he climbed a utility pole in Carrollwood on Thursday evening while pursuing his new hobby of photography.
Davidson fell about 35 feet to the ground after being shocked and had broken ribs, a broken left hand and fractures in his spinal column, family members reported.
Hospital officials said Davidson is still listed in critical condition.
