Tampa Tribune reporter Lindsay Peterson has received a second-place award for narrative feature writing from the American Association of Sunday and Feature Editors.
Peterson won for her Feb. 16, 2008, story about the aftermath of a 70-car pile-up on fog-bound Interstate 4.
The AASFE announced the winners of its 21st annual Excellence-in-Feature-Writing competition at its conference in Portland, Ore., last week.
The first place winner in narrative category for 90,000 to 199,999 circulation newspapers was Andrea Weigl, of The News & Observer, in Raleigh, N.C.
