NEW YORK - The University of South Florida was among four teams to move into The Associated Press college football poll Sunday.
The undefeated Bulls, who improved to 5-0 with a 34-20 victory at Syracuse in the Big East Conference opener, moved into the Top 25 for the first time this season at No. 23.
Auburn (5-0) also jumped into the Top 25 for the first time this season at No. 17.
Missouri, which has been on the fringe of the Top 25 most of the season, is No. 24. South Carolina (4-1) rounds it out.
The top four in the ranking is unchanged. Florida is No. 1, followed by Texas, Alabama and LSU. The Gators play at LSU on Saturday.
Virginia Tech moved up a spot to No. 5 and Boise State slipped one to No. 6 after a lackluster 34-16 victory against UC Davis.
