Woman killed crossing street identified

TARPON SPRINGS - Police identified today the body of a woman who was struck by a car and killed as she crossed a street Monday night.
Charlotte L. Boynton, 45, was hit at U.S. 19 just south of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, the Tarpon Springs Police Department said.
Boynton walked across U.S. 19 pushing a bicycle at around 7:20 p.m. She was struck by a car heading south.
Boynton didn't have permanent address but lived in the Tarpon Springs area, police said.
Investigators will review evidence, witness statements and toxicology reports. If there are any charges, they won't be filed until the investigation is complete, police said.
