AVON PARK - An Avon Park man remained in Highlands County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail Tuesday, after he was charged with lewd molestation of a girl between 12 and 15 years old.
Will Kevin "Bobo" Musselwhite, 43, also known as Roger Hill and Steve Smith, of 200 E. Winthrop St., was charged with lewd battery on a child between the age of 12 to 15 and lewd lascivious behavior on a child age 12 to 16.
An arrest report said the incident happened July 6, when the victim told investigators she was being driven by the suspect to a friend's house about 12:30 p.m. that day, when he stopped at a convenience store.
He bought a few items then drove a short while and stopped again and told her he had to look for some lost fishing rods. According to the report, after they stopped, the victim reported that Musselwhite began touching her in an inappropriate manner and forced himself upon her.
She reported that she struggled with Musselwhite, continually telling him "No," the report stated, and to please drop her off at another person's house, and he complied.
Musselwhite was picked up in Palm Beach County.
