TAMPA - A mother and two children were struck by a car as they crossed Hillsborough Avenue and Sawyer Road this morning.
Their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, Hillsborough County sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.
The woman and three children were walking north between vehicles stopped in traffic just west of Sawyer about 8 a.m. They were not using a crosswalk, Carter said.
A 2005 Nissan Altima driven by Ladaska Powell, 25, of Tampa, was eastbound on Hillsborough and turning north on Sawyer when the pedestrians walked in front of the car, Carter said.
The woman and two of the children were hit. Powell was not cited or charged, deputies said.
The investigation continues.
