DOVER - Middleton's Earnest Mingo rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns and quarterback Willie Clay threw for three more en route to a win over Strawberry Crest.

The third quarter was decisive after a 7-7 tie at the half.

Mingo scored two touchdowns on runs of 65 and 9 yards and Clay threw a 36-yard touchdown to Wendell Lewis to break open the game. Clay finished the night 5 of 10 for 116 yards. He also had touchdown throws of 46 yards to Justin Sanders and a 38-yard strike to Demario Buie.

Middleton rushed for 320 yards in 28 attempts.

Strawberry Crest's Donnardo Fields ran back a 90-yard kickoff, the second consecutive week the team has accomplished the feat. The Chargers scored first when Luis Trevino rambled in from 8-yards out in the second quarter.

The Tigers sacked Strawberry Crest quarterbacks five times, knocking starter Andrew Tedder out of the game after throwing for 75 yards in the first half. Brandon Reaves relieved Tedder and also was hurt on a sack, but stayed in the game.
