ST. PETERSBURG - A body found this week in Mirror Lake has been identified as Jason Robert Alamed, 37.

According to Alamed's driver's license, his home address is 742 Haven Place, Tarpon Springs, but investigators learned he recently had been staying at the Randolph Hotel, 200 Fourth St. N., St. Petersburg.

Alamed's body was found at 3:30 p.m. Monday after a city employee noticed a body floating in the lake, near the north shore, St. Petersburg police spokesman Bill Proffitt said.

Investigators found no signs of trauma on the fully clothed body and no indications of foul play. The Pinellas-Pasco County Medical Examiner's office did not find any external indications of trauma or foul play, but the results of toxicology reports will not be known for several weeks so the cause of death remains undetermined, Proffitt said.

Alamed's brother, who lives out of state, has been notified of the death.

Alamed was divorced in June after a marriage that lasted less than 20 months, according to court records.
