TAMPA - A motorcyclist died Wednesday night after riding between stopped cars on Interstate 4, losing control of the bike and sliding beneath a moving tow truck, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The motorcyclist, who has not been identified, died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, troopers said.
The crash happened on westbound I-4 at 8:58 p.m. Wednesday. The tow truck, driven by Cesar Centeno, was backing into the westbound lanes as it pulled a vehicle out of a ditch near the exit at U.S. 301, troopers said.
