Man on U.S. 19 killed by car

NEW PORT RICHEY - A man was hit by a car as he tried to cross U.S. 19 Wednesday night.
He later died at Community Hospital.
Thomas Rabon Legg, 55, of New Port Richey, was struck by a silver 2002 Honda Civic about 8 p.m. as he was walking crossing at the intersection of Green Key Road and U.S. 19 according to New Port Richey police.
The Honda was driven by 59-year-old Thomas Dale Thompson of Port Richey.
The accident is under investigation. No charges had been filed.
