TAMPA - Cambridge Christian dominated in an easy shutout win over Lake Wales Vanguard.
The Panthers were unable to match the Lancers' offense in a game that showcased Chris Brown's ability to play both sides of the ball.
Brown rushed for 108 yards on eight carries and two touchdowns as well as four tackles and a sack.
Robbie Robertson put the Lancers on the board first with a 45-yard touchdown pass from Hayden Kelley. Brett Falconer faked the extra-point kick and passed to Robertson for the 2-point conversion.
The Lancers' next offensive play resulted in Michael McDermott's 50-yard touchdown run.
Robertson's 26-yard interception return, followed by McDermott's 2-point conversion run, stretched the Lancers' lead to 30 at the end of the first quarter.
Cody Martinez also added an interception in the second half, a penalty in the return putting the Lancers at midfield. After no gain on first down, Brown recorded a 47-yard run on second down, then finished it off with a 3-yard touchdown run.
