Pasco girls capture 1A-8 title

Pasco girls cruise to 1A-8 championship
A district title came easy for the Pasco High girls golf team on Monday afternoon at Shady Brook Golf Club in Bushnell.
Pasco tallied a 456 team score, beating the closest team, Hernando, by 61 strokes to capture the Class 1A-District 8 crown.
Hernando's 517 just beat South Sumter's 525.
Pasco and Hernando will converge on Saddlebrook Prep's Palmer Course for the Class 1A-Region 3 tournament next Monday starting at 7:45 a.m.
Pasco's Kellianne May shot a tournament-best 92, while Bishop McLaughlin's Spencer Valdefpino posted a 95.
Also scoring for the Pirates were Mary Cassabaum (110) and Tori Bryant (125).
