CITRUS SPRINGS - Dylan Larson shot 74 to lead the Wiregrass Ranch High boys golf team to second place in the Class 2A-District 6 tournament Monday at El Diablo Golf and Country Club.
Larson shot 39 on the first nine and 35 on the back. Citrus won the team title with 316 points. Wiregrass Ranch had 337 for second and Lecanto was third with 362.
The top three teams qualified for next Monday's regional at Magnolia Plantation in Lake Mary.
Larson finished strong.
"I didn't get birdies until my last three holes," he said. "I had a lot of one-putts. My short game was perfect. You have to play here before. Winning conference was fun."
Sunlake's Donald Eubank shot an 84 to qualify individually for the regional event.
Wiregrass Ranch recently won the Sunshine Athletic Conference. The Bulls also played at the regional last year.
For the Bulls, Nick Stutt shot 85, Logan Harrigan shot 88, Chris Kluender shot 90 and Ronnie Segal shot 90.
