NEED TO KNOW: Tampa Bay is 13-11-2 all-time against the Sharks, but is 0-4-1 in the past five meetings. That includes a pair of losses last season in which Tampa Bay was outscored 10-1 by the Sharks and was outshot 87-47. ... RW Marty St. Louis has three goals and eight assists during a seven-game scoring streak to start the season. ... Mike Smith is expected to start in goal for Tampa Bay. ... San Jose is 10-for-29 on the power play (34.5 percent) on the road. .... The Lightning have allowed a power play in each of their seven games this season. ...
