NEED TO KNOW: After three straight nonconference wins against Oklahoma, Florida A&M and Central Florida, Miami plays its first ACC game since a 31-7 loss to Virginia Tech on Sept. 26. ... UM leads the all-time series 5-2. This is the first meeting between the teams since Miami came away with a 36-30 win in triple overtime at Clemson in 2005. ... Clemson has wins against Middle Tennessee State, Boston College and Wake Forest, with its losses coming at Georgia Tech, against TCU and at Maryland. Last weekend, the Tigers played their most complete game of the season in a 38-3 home win vs. Wake.
